POSITION DESCRIPTION

 

POSITION TITLE:  Elementary Reading Assistant

 

FLSA:                    Non-Exempt

 

REPORTS TO:      Building Principal and Teacher

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability and desire to work with children with specific challenges
• Paraprofessional Registry preferred or willingness to be trained
• Record of good attendance on the job
• Clear criminal history record

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 

1. Assist reading teachers

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS:

1. Maintain confidentiality.
2. Attend meetings and training as directed.
3. Present and communicate in a professional manner.
4. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
