Position Description

 

POSITION TITLE:       Child Nutrition Technician

 

FLSA:                          Non-Exempt

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Requires lifting a minimum of 40lbs to include boxes, supplies, and heavy cooking pans.

• Ability to read and comprehend distinct policies, operating manuals, and reference materials.

• Ability to work around exposures related to job.

• Must not present a risk of injury to self or others.
• Must be able to perform tasks that require a repetitive motion with upper torso.

 

REPORTS TO:     Child Nutrition Manager/Director

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1. Cook, clean, and maintain assigned areas, keeping such areas in excellent condition.

2. Preparation and serving of meals.
3. Cleaning of all food areas, sweeping, and mopping.
4. Storing of all supplies received.
5. Keep dirty laundry washed and dried.
6. Clean and sanitize restroom.

7. Empty and clean trash receptacles.

8. Follow all district safety procedures.

    

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS:

1. Perform other duties and assume other responsibilities as may be required to accomplish essential job functions as directed by the appropriate administrator(s).
2. Promote a positive professional image.
